Also-Known-As, Inc. is appreciative for all donations received in support of our work for the adult international adoptee community. Due to restrictions imposed by law and the nature of charitable donations, we cannot provide refunds for donations once they have been received. However, if you believe that your donation was made in error please contact us. All mistaken or unauthorized donations are refunded using the original method of payment.

Membership
All Also-Known-As Memberships can be canceled for a full refund within 2 weeks of purchase. If canceled after 2 weeks from the purchase date, then a refund will not be issued.
Event tickets For in-person and virtual events, tickets can be canceled and refunded 48 hours before the event start date/time. Any policies directly written into the event will override the 48 hr organization-wide policy written here. For example, if an event states that you must cancel 7 days in advance of the event to be refunded, that policy will be used instead of the 48-hr policy. Cancellations outside of these time frames and no-shows will not be refunded. Tickets to non-Also-Known-As events cannot be refunded. This includes any event where the ticket price is not controlled by Also-Known-As. Such events will be made clear on the event page and tagged as ‘outside vendor’ events. Donations for events are not eligible for refund.
Also-Known-As, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit, membership based organization with an entirely volunteer Board of Directors. Excluding membership and program fees, donations to Also-Known-As are fully tax deductible.
