The topic of âfamilyâ can conjure up a lot of mixed emotions for adoptees and adoptive parents; with the holiday season quickly approaching, we recognize that this time of year means family time for some, but not for all.
On Wednesday, November 8th at 6pm, we will be hosting a unique, intimate event that will create an arena for adult adoptees and parents of adoptees to practice difficult conversations.
Adoptees and adoptive parents will be partnered 1-on-1, round-robin style, and will have the opportunity to tackle topics in a SAFE space they may not normally feel comfortable bringing up with family members, such as: Â âWhy donât we live in a diverse area with people who look like me (adoptee)?â or âWhat worries you about doing a Birth Family Search?â
This event is only open to adult adoptees and adoptive parents via RSVP form (link in bio). Space will be limited.
