Heather was adopte d from Seoul\, Korea and grew up on Long Island. She received both a Bache lor of Arts in journalism and Master of Public Administration from CUNY Ba ruch College. Heather's articles have been published in The New York Times \, NBC News\, New York Daily News\, St. Louis-Post Dispatch and Library Jo urnal. She currently works as the communications development manager at Th e Donaldson Adoption Institute and as an adjuct professor at CUNY Baruch C ollege.
